Don’t You (EP)

Don't You opens the way a question does. Quiet, a little uncertain, just voice and warm piano in a room. Then it grows. Layers of glowing analog synth swell underneath until the chorus breaks wide open: don't you like me, don't you love me. Half plea, half declaration, sung like someone who already knows the answer and wants to hear it anyway. It's a song about wanting to be chosen, and it ends up sounding like being chosen.
